Doctoral Course

<Educational philosophy and Goals>
This doctoral program focuses on the universality and diversity found in language which is an important part of human nature, and intends to cultivate human resources who will contribute to the essential understanding of humans and the universal realization of human dignity.For many years, our university has played a leading role in the fields of grammar theory, language acquisition theory, foreign language education, and communication theory.Inheriting this tradition, we aim to build a universal theory of human language and a theory of second language acquisition including Japanese and English as foreign languages, with the two pillars of language theory and language acquisition theory.

<Program Characteristics>
This doctoral program trains students who are excellent in both language research and professional language education.
