Expanding Exchange and Networks Between the Countries of Asia and the Pacific
| Many endeavours have been made to create regional cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region, centered around ASEAN and APEC. Similarly, the Center for Asia-Pacific Studies at Nanzan University aims to create a network of scholarly exchange in the Asia-Pacific region, by supporting general research, research document collection, and regional academic exchange, particularly in the fields of politics, economics, society, and culture. In the Asian region, it focuses upon North-east Asia and South-east Asia, and upon Australia in the Pacific region. A particularly important part of Center activities is joint research. Through holding workshops and symposiums, issuing publications, and hosting guest researchers, not only can the Center facilitate academic exchange with other universities and research centers, but also between Nanzan University students and faculty. |
