The Center for American Studies at Nanzan University, founded in 1976 with an Institutional grant from the Fulbright Commission, serves as a regional center for scholars in the field of American Studies. In addition to our governing board of ten members, eleven researchers contribute their writing and advice to the Center. Every year we present a variety of lectures and seminars in American Studies. Researchers and students can have an easy access to a specialized library of books, magazines, and documents at the Center that focuses on nineteenth and twentieth-century American government, sociology, history, diplomacy, economics, and culture as well as an access to the University library.
We also welcome visitors to the Center. The Center is open Monday through Friday, 10:00 to 17:00. The Center is closed on Saturday, Sunday, national holidays, Nanzan University holidays, during at summer and winter vacations. |
